hi , im sir quilliam hogwort of england ( hogwort for short )
i am a african pygmy hedgehog , i just came to my forever home today ,(18th dec 2010) so theres not much to say, except im 16 weeks old and an albino , oh and i have trashed my home already !! did you know albino creatures are actually coloured , but they have a gene that stops the colours coming through ? there is no way of knowing what colour i am though ! : ( . my mum saw an albino black african human while she was on holiday !! i hope my mum will spend lots of time with me and get me tame , i just sit and huff at her at the minute, shes letting me settle in for a few days , well ill add better pictures and more info as we go along . bye for now

19th dec 2010-
i had my first mealworm , i didnt think much to it though i know mums trying to bribe me to be friends !! i want a live one not a freeze dried one ! ttssshh !

mum got me out to play for the first time today , as ive now settled , i balled up and huffed at her and i tried to spike her , but when she was sat down i relaxed a little and let her stroke me ! i tried to climb up her sweater sleave and got stuck , imagine trying to put a spikey thing out a hole the wrong way , yep my spikes wouldnt let me back out !! and i scratted at her arm trying to get up !! i got lots of mealworms (not live ones though !) : ( i did lots of poos and did a pee on my mums crotch , i then went back to bed !
24 th dec
today i had my first bath , i had poo feet (yucky!) i went for a paddle , it was ok i suppose cos i got clean feet...... and mealworms afterwards !! teehee, i could get used to living here ! : ) . ps i dont ball up anymore ( but i still huff and try to spike mum ) , oh and i didnt poo or wee on mummy today !
25 th dec MY FIRST CHRISTMAS !
i didnt see much of my family today as they were out visiting family , i didnt get LIVE mealworms either , but i did get lots of hoggy hugs when i woke up ..ooh and i had a delicious christmas dinner of turkey flavoured cat food , the other pets got some too .yum yum xx

ive started ripping the roof of my sleepy house , my mum doesnt know why i do this , ive tried to tell her i wanna sleep seeing the stars , but she keeps putting the roof back on !!! whats with that !!??

mum has figured out to wake me up and leave me for 15 minutes to let me "empty" myself in my tray before we play !!!! : )

im actually starting to get tamer !!! if anyone tells you hedgies like to be petted ,... DONT BELIEVE them !! it takes a lot of time and patience to get us to "tolerate" you , we are shy , animals that get scared very easy , of anything !! please please please read up all you can about hedgehogs BEFORE you get one if you are thinking about it , we will never be friendly like other animals like rabbits , guineas, hamsters etc . my mum was mislead when she bought me , we hedgies are beautiful and interesting creatures but we take alot of hard work !! saying that she loves me alot and forever !! but i hate her when she gives me baths !!! : )

I'm just a hedgehog , I'm as sweet as can be , I'm just a hedgehog ,oh why cant you see ? , i don't have fleas , I'm not nasty to touch ,I'm not ugly or smelly, i don't ask for much , i like to sleep , yes ill sleep all the day , but when night time comes I'm ready to play, please be kind, we are very shy , please be kind, don't ask me why . cos ,I'm just a hedgehog and we need to take care , I'm just a hedgehog, please be fair . don't scare me and kick me around , don't scare me or squish me to ground , I'm just a hedgehog and we deserve to live , I'm just a hedgehog we have love to give . hedgehog numbers are beginning to fall , please don't kick me against the wall , I'm just a hedgehog an endangered species , with this in mind its plain to see, I'm just a hedgehog ......some people DONT love me !! ......... sir hogwort of england 26/2/2011
