ABOUT RUSTY:
Rusty is four years old and the love of our lives. As it turned out we bought him from a bad breeder and 3 days after picking him up, was told by our vet he wouldn't live. He only weighed 11 oz. at 6 weeks and had no muscle or body fat plus was dehydrated. The breeder offered an exchange but we had had him 3 days and already loved him, so wanted to try and save him.
Getting up every 2 hours to feed him a special formula was like having a new baby. He could eat only 1 t. of baby meat. Worst of all he was always cold, so for the first 2 mos. he was constantly be held and wrapped up. I would carry him in my bra while doing housework to keep him warm. He finally got to go outside at 3 mos. with a sweater and he
just bloomed after that. He is sweet, trusting, loyal, and a best friend. We are so thankful that he made it in spite of the breeder. He was the runt and a good breeder would have made sure he had his own Mommy time. As it turns out he is a full size longhair dachshund although that isn't what we paid for. All in all it turned out great and he is top dog in our house.

What a happy story. Alls well that ends well. I think your humans are just the greatest. To do all that they did for you. They must love you very much and you deserve that. +1 for you and for your humans. I love happy ending stories.
