ABOUT Big Guy:
Hi. I'm Big Guy. In case your wondering why I have this name and my brother and sisters have "normal" names, I'm about to tell ya.

I wondered up on my mommy's property in June 2009. It was very, very hot, 95-105 degrees, so I went under Uncle David's house to keep cool. I was limping, very malnourished and had a chain double wrapped around my neck. Mommy started feeding me since it was obvious I wasn't going anywhere in that heat. When she caught a glimpse that I was a boy, when she would come over to feed me she would say, "Hi Big Guy". Some of my pictures are from when I first showed up.

It took over 2 weeks for me to wag my nub and let mommy pet me. She did everything she could to find my owner; signs, news paper, vet office's, petfinder.com etc and nobody ever called. Once I got use to mommy I moved over to her house under her porch. It was still REALLY HOT so she bought me some fans and wetted the ground for me while she tried to find me a fur-ever home.

One day in August when mommy came home from grooming April she saw how hot I was so she pulled April's kennel out from under the bed and put it together for me. AC is WONDERFUL! I was a very good boy going in and out of the house. Then she let me have an entire bedroom. I never ever hiked my leg on anything and I wasn't even neutered at the time. She took me to the vet to get my shots and have me checked out. Unfortunately, I have heartworms. I have already had one treatment and hope to have the second.
I'm now neutered and had some x-rays because I was limping. The vet says I have Hip Dysplasia, but, Jesus says I am healthy and whole.

After 4 months of trying to find me a fur-ever home, mommy finally realized I was meant to be hers. A lot of other folks already knew that, it just took her a bit longer. So now I have a mommy, 3 sisters and a brother.

I am such a blessed "Big Guy" and not just because of my new home and family, but, also because of the Mighty Prayer Warriors on this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess what.....I'm heart worm negative after only 1 treatment!!!!! Woohoo, THANK YOU JESUS!
