Whether you're in the high desserts of southern Utah or in the crisp, clean Appalachian mountain air, camping is one of the best activities a pet-lover can enjoy with a dog!
3 Inspiring Stories Of How People Knew Their Dog Was The One
In February, Cuteness teamed up with Glamping With Pets to give fans an opportunity to live the good life with their four-legged friend on a camping adventure of a lifetime!
Meet Jax! He's a 10-month-old German shepherd who is a very good boy. Jax came into Erika Stanley's life shortly after her husband was diagnosed with cancer.
"Someone thought I needed him," Erika wrote. "When he got into my arms, tears rolled down my face."
Jax's loving nature and endless snuggles helped the couple cope with the darkness of cancer and the stresses of treatment.
The good news is that Erika's husband has fully recovered after having a kidney removed. She credits Jax with being able to get her through a tough time.
"He's been the light of my life. He made me happy when I was sad," Erika shared. "He saved my heart."
This 10-month-old German shepherd loves plain cheeseburgers, pig ears, and vanilla ice cream.
Hopefully, Jax will get to have a few snacks around the campfire!
Foreman is a rescue dog who was found in a concrete ditch, lodged beneath his deceased mother. He was saved by his human, Toni Tobias, who heard reports of a litter of 10 boxer pups left to starve. Foreman was one of only four surviving puppies — two brothers and two sisters — when Toni discovered them.
"I knew I had to be his new mother," she wrote. "I thought to myself that he needs me to give him the world."
Two of the remaining four puppies died of seizures.
"He was with his brother until he passed away," wrote Tobias.
Foreman's sister was adopted by another family who assisted Tobias during the rescue of these beautiful pups.
"With lots of love and nurturing throughout these 7 beautiful years, you've never seen a happier dog," beamed Tobias. "[Foreman] only has a few years left in him, and I know he'd love to see more of the world and bring smiles to everyone he meets."
Enjoy your trip, Foreman. You deserve it!
This special little dog helped a young woman deal with bullying.
"I was actively skipping class and hiding out," remembers Cassie Nunes. "Counselors were brought in, and so were doctors."
Professionals recommended to Cassie and her family that a pet might help everyone cope with a horrible situation at school. Cassie went to her local pet store (note: she is an avid shelter-dog advocate these days) to make a new friend.
She played with a lot of puppies that day, but one unique pup with jagged teeth caught her eye.
"This little cutie with his imperfect teeth and hyperactive attitude hit close to home," wrote Cassie.
"I picked him up at only 8-weeks-old and brought him home. Bad teeth and all," wrote the happy dog mom.
Midnight has been with Cassie for nearly 9 years now! We hope these two have a great time camping!
