When General's family left to go on vacation, they put him up at a local animal hospital's kennel, like responsible pet owners do. General had other ideas though, because he staged a breakout — which was all caught on tape via the hospital's surveillance cameras.

In the video, you can see General make his way through (and eventually out of) the hospital, all while literally opening doors with his mouth along the way.

General's escape didn't last too long though — he was found 15 hours later in a nearby neighborhood.

"It's been tough," Travis Campbell, General's owner, told Q13FOX. "He's a little Houdini when it comes to opening doors. He can get a lot of doors open.... I knew that he could open doors and all that, but I didn't think he would be able to get through the doors of the vet."

General's owners told FOX that he suffered a little nick on his nose, but is otherwise okay.
