There are two kinds of cats in this world: Those that scratch records and those that break 'em.

31 pounds and nearly 4 feet in length? You gotta be kitten me!

Video of the Day

For an example of the latter, we go to Australia where Omar — a gigantic ginger whose daily diet includes two scoops of kibble and raw kangaroo (!!!) — is rewriting Guinness' entry for the world's longest house cat with his mind-blowing measurements: 120 centimeters, or 47 inches, from head to tail!

Adopted by his humans in 2013, the massive Maine coon is riding a wave of viral buzz after he was featured in a post by social media heavies Cats Of Instagram (they of the 8,000,000+ followers) earlier in the month.

According to the Daily Mail, Omar's tape measure busting dimensions are currently being verified by officials with the Guinness Book of Records.

Should they hold, he will displace another Maine coon — who, reminder, don't stop maturing physically until the ages of 3-5 — that checked in at a whopping 118 centimeters.

In an interview with the Herald Sun, Omar's people, Stephy and Rowan, revealed that the 4-year-old "was tiny when we got him but then he just started growing and was 10kg [22 lbs] at one year old."

Like most cats, Omar is said to enjoy cuddles — and waking his owners at an ungodly hour every morning for an early brekkie.

"He sleeps on the couch... because he takes up too much room on the bed and he demands we cuddle and pet him all through the night."

And when he's not napping in his favorite spot, a backyard trampoline, Omar is making mischief around the couple's flat:

"He is really good at opening doors, sliding doors, kitchen cupboards, shower doors, wardrobes, he'll get past all of them."

"He just likes to be able to go wherever he pleases so he will do whatever to find a way."

Snaps from Omar's newly-created Instagram account capture this behemoth living his very best life.

No need to jump on the counter when you can just paw stuff down, amirite?

He also TOWERS over the family's dogs, a pair of shelties named Penny and Rafi.

Seen snoozing here with his "dad."

That poor box never had a chance.

Literally spilling over the side of this carpeted perch.

Naturally, the internet had feelings about Omar's impressive figure.

😂 😂 😂
