There's a lot of ways to rank cities in the U.S., but we suspect Cuteness readers will agree, the only ranking that matters is which city is the most pet-friendly.

The good folks at Wallethub.com crunched the numbers for you. They compared the pet friendliness of the 100 largest U.S. cities by using 21 key metrics. These metrics calculated things like pet-care providers, pet businesses, and walkability.

The results are in! Here are the top 10 most and least pet-friendly cities in the U.S.

For their research, WalletHub looked at the long list of expenses that pet owners face including grooming, medical care, pet insurance, as well as the cost of renting residences that allowed pets.
