This 'Bachelor In Paradise' Cast Member Broke The Biggest Rule Of All For His Dog

By Sarah Jeanne Terry

We were SO surprised on this season of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered two weeks ago, that the adorable Wells Adams wasn't actually a contestant. Wells, the DJ from Nashville, charmed us all on JoJo's season of The Bachelorette with his fun personality and his winning smile. But this season, instead of competing, Wells is the new bartender in Paradise, and he's offering up insightful commentary along with his cocktails. We didn't know Wells was so awesome at making drinks.

And we really didn't know that Wells is also a HUGE dog lover.

Wells, who appeared on the twelfth season of The Bachelorette realized that he was going to miss his best friend SO much when he went off to the reality show. And you won't believe what Wells did about it.

Wells couldn't just leave Carl completely, so he concocted an elaborate plan to get around The Bachelorette's social media rules.

Per Bravo's rules, contestants on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, or Bachelor in Paradise can't use social media during their time filming. But Wells had a plan. He had his sister, who was dog-sitting Carl while he was away, post on Carl's Instagram account regularly.

Then Wells sweet-talked producers into showing him Carl's Instagram every couple of days because true love means you break all the rules.

Because Wells couldn't make it more than a few days without seeing those adorable, soulful eyes.

And Wells' love of dogs goes even deeper because Wells also devotes a lot of time to his local animal shelter.

Wells volunteers with the Nashville Humane Association, helping other big furry friends find homes, like this Direwolf look-alike.

It's pretty clear that anyone who ends up with Wells in Bachelornation will have to love dogs. And they'll have some pretty fierce competition. Because clearly, Carl has a hold of Wells' heart.
