Watch April The Giraffe's Son Meet His Daddy For The First Time

By Ryan Tronier

In what is probably the most heartwarming event to hit the web this week, April the giraffe's son, Tajiri, finally met his father for the first time ever, after the most highly-anticipated giraffe birth in the history of giraffe births last April!

Oh, and it's FREAKING ADORABLE!!!

Handlers at the Animal Adventure Park shared a video of the happy family spending some quality time and grooming each other, and we here at Cuteness HQ have been tapping replay like our lives depended on it.

"Our giraffe family shared space for the first time this morning and we are happy to announce a successful introduction," the Harpursville, N.Y., zoo wrote on Facebook.

Over a million fans watched April the giraffe give birth earlier this year, and it was the culmination of months and months and months of waiting for her baby boy to drop. Park officials named the calf Tajiri, meaning "hope" and "confidence," after a much-publicized naming contest.

"Tajiri is Swahili for both hope and confidence. Hope is something that Tajiri has not only brought you guys as a community globally now but it is a hope for giraffes," the baby's caretaker, Alyssa, said in a Facebook Live video.

Can you handle watching the entire heartwarming video below? Probably, but please be careful!
