When most Americans think about Thanksgiving, endless plates of turkey and side dishes followed by hours of football often come to mind, but for dog lovers everywhere, the NBC broadcast of Purina's National Dog Show is a welcome holiday tradition that is a perfect accompaniment to last-minute dinner preparations.

And why not? Watching adorable, well-groomed dogs show off their skills and training is probably one of the best ways to spend a few hours while you catch up with family and add an extra layer of glaze on the roast turkey. Which is why Cuteness Pawdcast hosts, Renee Colvert and Allegra Ringo, share the history of this proud event and the dogs to watch for this Thanksgiving. They also have the scoop on the behind-the-scenes drama of one of our favorite movies: Christopher Guest's homage to dog shows, Best In Show.
