This Police Dog Doing Pushups Is All The #Fitspo You'll Ever Need

Meet Nitro. He's a 2-year-old Dutch shepherd who works as a police dog with Gulf Shores Police Department's canine unit. He joined back in February and takes his job, and his physical fitness very seriously.

A video of Nitro doing pushups with two of his officer buddies recently went viral, and it's every bit of #fitspo you'll need to get back to the gym after the holidays.

In the video, which the police department posted to Facebook, "Eye of the Tiger" is playing because it's probably the best get-pumped-up-about-doing-pushups song of all time.

The video isn't just a fun viral post though β€” it was actually created to help spread the word about the #9PMRoutine movement, which was started by the Pasco County Sheriff's Department in Florida.

It’s 9:00 PM #GulfShores! Go ahead and follow the #9PMRoutine. πŸ”πŸšͺπŸ‘πŸš˜πŸš—βœ… K9 Nitro, Officer Cowan and Officer Hancock are getting warmed up and ready to apprehend any bad guys that break the law!

The campaign's purpose is to remind people to remove valuables from cars and lock up at the end of the day, Time reports. So make sure you bring in your phone and lock up your car after the gym trip that Nitro's video inspires you to make.
