An Excited Service Dog Chases An Actor During A Broadway Performance Of 'Cats'

Conventional wisdom tells us that dogs and cats don't get along. What we never considered, however, was that that could include dogs and humans dressed as cats.

At a recent performance of the Broadway musical, Cats, a service dog lost it when surrounded by all the people-sized felines. According to the New York Post, the dog "got away from its owner and ran after [the character] Bombalurina, performed by actress Mackenzie Warren, during the opening number."

Warren commented on the incident on Instagram. "Only 30 chances left to see this beautiful show and if you’re lucky watch me get chased down the aisle by a service dog."

While an usher was quick to step in and resolve the situation, a rep for the musical confirmed the amusing story.

"In the storied history of Cats, this is the first time one of the actual cats was involved in an incident with a dog. We're pleased to report that no animals or humans were harmed in the dust-up, and the performance continued without a hitch."
