Turn An Old Table Into A Puppy Princess Palace

If you have an old table that you're considering tossing — don't! Instead, treat your puppy like the princess she is by turning it into a palace fit for canine royalty!

Things You'll Need

  • End table
  • Power drill
  • Finials, 4
  • Spray paint
  • Wood plaque
  • Wooden crown cutout
  • Glitter paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Ribbon
  • Rhinestone stickers
  • Hot glue
  • Wood glue
  • Tulle
  • Scissors
  • Pillow
  • Pillowcase

Step 1: Turn Table Upside Down

Turn an old end table upside down. Yep, it's that dang easy.

Step 2: Attach Finals to Table Legs

Use a power drill to drill a pilot hole in the bottom of each table leg. Screw a decorative finial into each leg.

Step 3: Paint the Bed

Spray paint the entire bed. Be sure to do it outside or in a well-ventilated area. If you're going with the princess theme, then mo' pink, mo' better!

Step 4: Make a Headboard

Find a wooden plaque that's roughly the same width as your table and spray paint it the same color. Bedazzle it with a wooden crown cutout painted in pink glitter paint. Use wood glue to attach the crown. For extra princess-y touches, hot glue paw print ribbon trim along the bottom of the crown and add some rhinestone stickers.

Step 5: Attach Headboard to Bed

Use wood glue to attach the headboard to the legs of the table.

Step 6: Make a Canopy

Lay pink tulle over the four bed posts and cut a straight line up the front and back of the tulle. Gather the fabric around each of the posts and secure it with ribbon tied in bows.

Tuck a regular bed-sized pillow on top of the bed (use a pink pillowcase, of course) and watch puppy have a ball on her new throne.
