Turn An Old Table Into A Puppy Princess Palace
If you have an old table that you're considering tossing — don't! Instead, treat your puppy like the princess she is by turning it into a palace fit for canine royalty!
Things You'll Need
- End table
- Power drill
- Finials, 4
- Spray paint
- Wood plaque
- Wooden crown cutout
- Glitter paint
- Rhinestone stickers
- Hot glue
- Wood glue
Step 1: Turn Table Upside Down
Turn an old end table upside down. Yep, it's that dang easy.
Step 2: Attach Finals to Table Legs
Use a power drill to drill a pilot hole in the bottom of each table leg. Screw a decorative finial into each leg.
Step 3: Paint the Bed
Spray paint the entire bed. Be sure to do it outside or in a well-ventilated area. If you're going with the princess theme, then mo' pink, mo' better!
Step 4: Make a Headboard
Find a wooden plaque that's roughly the same width as your table and spray paint it the same color. Bedazzle it with a wooden crown cutout painted in pink glitter paint. Use wood glue to attach the crown. For extra princess-y touches, hot glue paw print ribbon trim along the bottom of the crown and add some rhinestone stickers.
Step 5: Attach Headboard to Bed
Use wood glue to attach the headboard to the legs of the table.
Step 6: Make a Canopy
Lay pink tulle over the four bed posts and cut a straight line up the front and back of the tulle. Gather the fabric around each of the posts and secure it with ribbon tied in bows.
Tuck a regular bed-sized pillow on top of the bed (use a pink pillowcase, of course) and watch puppy have a ball on her new throne.
