Cuteness Interviews Aqua the Corgi
Aqua the Corgi loves the spotlight and the spotlight loves him. This cute corgi has almost 100,000 fans on Instagram, thanks to the light-hearted and beautiful pictures taken by his photographer and dog-mom, Kay (check her out on Instagram or on her website). Not only does Aqua shine in front of the camera as an Instagram star and model for the dog clothing company, Warm Heart Company, but he helps his mom as a photographer's assistant at her business' photography sessions. After all, how could you not smile with Aqua around?
Aqua took a few minutes out of his busy day posing for pictures & learning new tricks to tell us how he got the name Aqua despite hating water, what his favorite travel destination is, and what superpower he'd have if he got his choice.
Aqua, your name means water but you hate to get wet. How did you get your name?
When I was a puppy, I always loved to hang out in the water bowl when it was hot outside. My humans saw me for the first time when I was only 6 weeks old. They pointed at me and said that I looked like a drunk dude chilling in jacuzzi (I guess my eyes were half opened and looked relaxed to the max). At 8 weeks old, my front paws were already in the water bowl and I was totally ready to hang out in there. Then the humans came again, and they decided to take me to my forever-home! They thought I must love the water, so they were thinking about naming me something related to water. On my first day at the new house, I literally jumped into my new water bowl and spilled it all over... THREE TIMES. After I made my crate and their carpet all wet, I was officially named AQUA. I don't know what triggered it, but when I was around 7 months old, I started to get annoyed when I'd get wet. My parents tried to let me swim in the pool, took me to the beach a couple times to get used to it, but nope, nope, nope. Don't even get AQUA close to me. #NoAquaForAqua
You have a love for rolling around in the grass. Why do you love to do this adorable activity?
I just have to feel the nature with my entire body. It makes me feel even better when the grass smells like somebody's poop!
You're very talented and know a ton of tricks (check them out on his YouTube channel). What was your favorite trick to learn?
My favorite trick to learn was "Stay & Release"! It gets me so excited when I'm released from the stay command, like "I'M FREE!"!
You have a pawsome sense of style. What is your favorite outfit that you've worn?
A big bow tie! I wear no pants, but a BIG bow tie.
Out of all of the trips you've been on, what has been your favorite place to visit & why?
Crissy Field in San Francisco! Because the place was like a paradise for dogs that I even forgot about hating to get wet!
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what food would it be?
I'm not picky. I would take anything edible!
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
5 ft Leg Extensions. To catch the balls that go higher than I can reach and to run away from the bathtub.
