Cuteness Interviews Grumpy Cat
Some celebrities are "internet famous" while others are famous famous. Though the vast majority of celebrity pets belong to the former, one superstar cat can clearly count herself among the latter. With bestselling books, branded merchandise galore ("Grumpuccino" gourmet coffee, anyone?), multiple TV appearances, and a starring role in a feature film, Grumpy Cat (a.k.a. Tardar Sauce) may actually be pushing cultural icon status. And all because she's incapable of turning that famous feline frown upside down.
Since folks just can't seem to get enough of this supercute sourpuss, Grumpy's using her much-memed face to raise funds for worthy causes, donating a portion of her merchandise sales to cat rescue organizations. She's also the official "spokescat" for Friskies brand cat food.
Recently, the Cuteness team was lucky enough to meet the one and only Grumpy Cat at South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX where she was helping Friskies launch "Cat Concoctions,"—a new line of cat food featuring some unexpected flavor mashups like cod in cheesy bacon sauce and lamb in clam sauce. Despite her demanding schedule, she took some time out to (grumpily) answer a few questions for her fans in the Cuteness community. Check out our exclusive interview below.

We're so honored that you've said yes to this interview despite the fact that your favorite hashtag is #NO. Assuming that there are only a few things that you could never say no to, what are they?
There's been a whole lot of talk lately about the need for diversity in Hollywood, and we believe that your feature film debut in Lifetime's Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever may have opened more doors for feline performers everywhere. What movie or TV role do you think would have been better played by a cat? (Perhaps even yourself!)
Cruella de Vil
Did you perform your own stunts in Worst Christmas Ever?
NOPE. I don't consider anything I do as stunts.
Do you feel at all snubbed that you weren't nominated for an Emmy for your breakout purr-formance?
Who needs an Emmy when you have a Friskies Lifetime Achievement Award (an award I received at The Friskies 2013)?

You've met a whole lot of celebrities and TV personalities including Blake Shelton and Anderson Cooper—though the celebrities seemed more thrilled upon meeting you than you did meeting them! Which celebrity encounter, for you, was the most tolerable and why?
Mario Lopez. I'll leave it to him to answer why. It was also tolerable meeting Platinum selling recording artist Ryan Cabrera and American Idol Season 6 runner up Blake Lewis at the #CatConcoctions event presented by Friskies. They performed a private musical mashup show.
I**magine this dinner party scenario: you at a table with Oscar the Grouch, Grumpy the Dwarf, George Costanza from Seinfeld, Professor Severus Snape, Garfield, and Henri le Chat Noir. Who's got the most gripes?**
All of the above.
