This Chihuahua Posing In Cardboard Cutouts Is Everything
This little guy's name is Chihuahua-mametero and he lives with his mom Semba in Japan's Saitama Prefecture.
Like a lot of pet moms, Semba uploads lots of photos of her pup to Twitter — but with an adorably awesome difference.
She makes these creative carboard cutouts with holes that become adorable costumes for Chihuahua-mametaro!
Semba told BuzzFeed that her first creations consisted only of cute messages, but they eventually turned into cardboard costumes, allowing little Chihuahua-mametaro to turn into some of her favorite characters: “I gradually started drawing a dog’s face, Mickey Mouse and other characters.
She also explained that, “The designs are based on manga, anime/movie characters, or Japanese playing cards...They are things that I like.”
Her cutouts range from the simple...
To the exquisite...
To the just plain funny! Here he is as a sushi roll.
And a crab...
Another thing that many have noted is just how cooperative Chihuahua-mametaro is when posing for these shots. Says Semba, “He’s usually quiet and kind, so he rarely gets angry at something.”
In fact, Semba gives most of the credit for these killer shots to her pup's patience. “The main character is the non-moving dog," she said. "and my art skill is secondary."
Amazingly, whenever Semba wants Chihuahua-mametaro to put his little head into the cutout hole, she uses the words "go home!" And he happily does it — with a smile no less!
