Mr. Guffington

Four and a half years ago, I was going through a rough patch in my life. At that time, I didn't have any pets. I had them before, but not at the present. It was a Saturday evening, and I was making a run to the store. When I stepped out of my apartment, I saw this flash of a live creature run across the yard. I thought it was a rat. It disappeared behind a bush. I left, and returned about 20 minutes later, and I saw this precious little black kitten at the front door. Well of course I was taken by him. Another passerby noticed the cat as well. We both looked in bewilderment at this beautiful little kitten. I told the guy I would take him in, and call animal services. My building had a strict policy when it came to pets. Needless to say, when I took him in, I never made that call. I did inform my property manager, and she allowed me to keep "Guffy". I saw that as a sign, it was "meant to be". I named him Guffy after a character in the 1951 film "Angels in the Outfield". I just elongated the name. After having him for several weeks, I knew the name suited him just right. Guffington Bellows Hough was all mine. We've been together ever since!

Lyrix is a spunky, playful and loving kitten. She loves to play with our dog Sampson and, if your not careful, she will attack your toes every chance she gets!
