Meet Scarlett Elisabeth, my beautiful standard poodle. Scarlett is my third standard, I thought after loosing my last standard (Amadeus) at the age of 15 I would never get another, that is until I say this little lady. We bonded as soon as we saw each other. Scarlett lives with her 5 siblings (a dachshund named Chelsea and four cats, Cindy, Charlie, Lolita and Hallie), none of which seem to fond of her since she tends to chase them through the house wanting to play. She however loves each of them. Scarlett is learning to be a pet therapy dog in the long term care facility where I have been employed for 16 years. She loves seeing all the patients and visitors but tends to be a little shy around many of them, she does have her favorites that she will go to immediately. She has been my constant shadow since the day I got her. One of her favorite activities is riding in the convertable with the top down. What a sweet little girl!
BeeBe is my very first dog! My hubby insisted on our 2 yr old son growing up with a dog. I always hated dogs. Barking, begging, jumping.....BeeBe is my very best friend. I got BeeBe for my 40mbday! Sooo smart Sooo Loyal, she is so loving and she reads my mind!! I cannot beleive i never had a dog all my life, totally missed out, I will always have a dog till my dying days. And BeeBe will be waiting for me on the other side when I do arrive, she is the one I want too see First!!!!
My sister and I started in the standard poodle breed because of our mother who was in a facility for people suffering from Alzhiemer's Disease. She adored a poodle puppy she saw and we thought it would be good for her, so we bought it. We fell in love with the breed as well as mom. We decided to breed these beautifully temperamented animals and do therapy work with them. Song is the result of our first breeding. She is named for our mother who passed away in 2009. Her name is Wispynook's Carol Sings To Heave as our mother was in a church choir all of her life.
Two Standard Poodles who love to teach children through a Laugh and Learn approah!
Cocoa is my buddy and our very wonderful stud dog. He has the best personality and passes that on to all his offspring. Cocoa is so smart and funny. I just can't imagine my life without him.
I'm Pandora, I go by Dory for short. I am a rescue dog and have been re-homed twice. I like it here, I have 5 kitty siblings to chase (except for Sparky, he scares me), I have 2 puppy sisters and we like to fight like sisters do. I adore my humans, except my mom the pet stylist thinks I need to be her "guinea pig" to try out new styles. Sometimes I look so dorky!
Caly is a poodle of a different color! She though being all white was totally bland so we decided to spruce her up with some bright colors! Now, she rarely stays the same color for long. Everything from blue, to pink, to zebra!
I am a blue standard poodle. My mom says I am really handsome and she loves me a lot. I go to nursing homes to visit with the residents and make them happy. I will be going to the show ring in the future and I'm very excited about that.
Taffy is an apricot standard poodle puppy. When she is old enough, I will be showing her in the show ring. She is a little spit-fire and loves to play and cuddle.
Teddy was given to me by my husband. I had always wanted a standard poodle. He is a wonderful pet. He is part of our family. He doesn't like for me to leave him. My husband tells me Teddy cries and gets my house shoe and lays by the door until my return. Teddy loves to play catch and fetch. He can play for hours and brings it back every time so there isn't really any exercise for me or my husband. When we go for walks I never have to scold him and he doesn't pull or try to chase other animals. He is quick to learn new things. I am not afraid of being home alone or going out for quick runs to the store at night anymore because I know that his size is mostly enough to scare away potential threats. Most people think of a poodle and think of a wimpy dog. Maybe this is the case, but he is very protective of me and my daughter and "his" car or "his house". Even though he is showing some aggressiveness over "his" territory, he is always willing to make friends with anyone that has been invited into his house and invites them to play. Teddy loves children and other animals. He tolerates my five year old grandson very well, and loves my granddaughter. He always meets them at the door and plays with them until they go home. My mom has three dogs that visit regularly and comes to visit for up to a week at a time and he loves it. He shares his bowls, toys, and his bed willingly. My daughter has asthema and he is the perfect breed for us because he doesn't shed. Teddy has not chewed any furniture and is not distructive. Poor Teddy got car sick in the mountains of Tennessee when we went to tend to my Daddy's grave. Even though he has a fear of getting sick in the car the poor thing still wants to go everywhere with me. We are working on this issue and he is doing much better. I call that unconditional love and loyality, maybe on both parts. I would recommend a standard poodle to anyone who loves big dogs. He has been wonderful and we are looking forward to years of happiness with him. Teddy is the most perfect present in the whole world for me. Thank you Jeff, and thank you God for letting me choose and raise Teddy.
Oscar and Emmy are therapy dogs. They love visitors and they love to travel. They get to work and play in Pittsburgh, PA and in Belleair, Florida.
I'm an 8 Year Old Standard Poodle who lives, breathes and watches sports in between naps, feedings, walks and my normal 10 hours of beauty sleep. I'm using my insight, knowledge, statistical background and keen sense of smell to pick the winner of at least 4 or more major weekend sporting events (plus special events each week).
