I was lost and so cold and screaming at the top of my lungs for someone to save me. I just couldn't do another night out in this freezeing weather. My new Mom heard my plead came to see what was wrong. I ran to her please help me. I am so thirsty and cold. She took me in. I drank water all night long. I won't eat and I kept my paw up and my back leg hurt too. My new Mom checked me out found out I was declawed front and back. She tried to find my other owners. They didn't even put an add in the paper. She took me to the vets. I did not like that at all. The Doc. says I was hit by a car or something like that has happened. I feel wrong on my paw and side and hit my bottom chin on inpact. My paw is not broke and should heal okay. My mouth was sore from the impact and thats why I could not eat. It is healing nicely. I have a cold and they gave me a shot for that. No antibotics right now because the Doc. does not want my stomache to get upset so instead I got a shot. Let me tell ya that hurt. They did all the test and my bill of health is a B. I am starting to eat now and I am still sleeping alot but I am now safe and warm. I wish I could tell my new Mom what really happened but, you know what? That really doesn't matter anymore cuz I know I am loved by her already. She talks to me pets me and kisses me and takes such good care of me. Only thing I am sad about is that there are others out there like I was and they won't be as lucky. Oh and Mom says I got my name because I was so loud all the glass in the neighbor hood chattered. Like the commerical with Ella Fitzgerald, is it live or is it memorex.
We did not have Ella to long before she had to be hospitalized. She kept getting sick and she was not eating nor drinking. I called the Vets on monday they said she has an appointment on Thursday we will just have the Doc. look at her then. I said she is not going to make it to Thursday. They said I could drop Ella off and the Doc. will get tp her when she has time. I brought her in they took her temp. Oh no t5hey said thank goodness you brought her in her temp. is real low and something is terribley wrong. They put her in a heatroom with a heating pad. She was put on fluids and other things. They did a full blood work and the result was not good The worst is the BUN for cats it is suppose to be 15-35 Ella's is 72. Her kidney's are not working right. She has alot of toxins. Lots and Lots of prayers from the good people here and two weeks later Ella got to come home. So far she has won this battle. She goes back on Tuesday to get another blood test done to see where her #'s are and if there is any kidney damage. She is eating very good now and she loves playing with water so she is in the sink with a leaky fauset. I will let everyone know when the next results are in.
Ella came to us from the Charleston Animal Society. Such a tiny 4 week old little girl who needed to "feed and grow." She cried in the crate so her place at night was on the bed with me. She loved following Marisa around the house and learned very fast going outside meant a yummy treat. Ella has now made a wonderful addition as our foster pet to a permanent home with two loving boys whose father is stationed in Afghanstan.
I am small and mighty. I run hard all day, hunt, hunt, and hunt. I used to come in at night, jump in my dad's lap and rack out. Now that puppy is everywhere and I have to stay up high.
