Hello, I'm Hazel. I showed up at my owners house in February... pregnant. These babies were born dead, it was a very sad time. A little while later, I was pregnant again! These kittens were born 4 weeks ago and they are very healthy- all 5 of them. I have been told that I am a beautiful cat with long black fur and bright green eyes.
Hi my name is Hazel or Witch Hazel as my moms call me. I was a feral kitten that my foster mom saved and I lived with her for awhile til I was old enough to be adopted out. It was only supposed to be me adopted but I couldn't leave my Sonny boy so when my foster mom brought me to my new home she brought him too and we both got to stay! My mom says when I walk I look like a lady in high heels. I can be really mean to Sonny and Jack I sneak up on them and bite them on the back of their legs and then we fight! When I was about a year old I got really sick and had pneumonia and almost died. My fost mom works at the vet so she took really good care of me and saved me, but because I had a really high fever mom thinks I got a little brain fried so I can be a little goofy and every once in a while I get this vacant deer ina headlights look. But my moms love me anyway!
Hazel is the only girl in the litter, and was the very, very small runt who we thought wouldn't make it the first night. Hazel is still very skinny and small, but she is such a sweetie, but can be a little jumpy sometimes. Hazel loves to be held and is very good around the camera. Out of all of her siblings, Hazel is the one who loves her running wheel the most! She'll run in it all day and night! Hazel loves her birth mom very much, and she is allowed to stay in the same cage with Shaymin. Hazel is very patient, trusting, and can never stay crabby for too long. She looks very much like her mom, with the light quills and light nose, but has a little bit of her father in her face.
Hazel passed away in September of 2012 for unknown causes. The event sent shock through the whole family, and it was a tearful moment to realize that she grew up to look so much like her mother, that for an hour after her death we were looking back at pictures of her and her mother to make sure we knew it was Hazel that passed.
We believe her death was due to genetic reasons, and that she was the runt of her litter with such a young mother. But we know that she did not suffer. And while we did not get to say goodbye, that is enough to be able to let her go. Rest in Peace, sweet little survivor
Hi there! I'm Hazel, and I think it's important you know that looks can be deceiving. I'm not a sad girl, and I only indulge in naps on occasion. I was my daddy's birthday present this year! Turning 27 has its perks, obviously... I don't think presents are supposed to be as much work as I am, but I'm worth it.
I live with my daddy and my Uncle Gabe in Onalaska, Wisc. I'm super excited because we're moving soon, and at the new house, I'll have a yard all my own to romp in! Right now, I get most of my exercise at the dog park and Grandma and Grandpa Nugent's house. I love Grandma cause she gives me treats. Grandpa is good at cuddling. I live for the weekends, cause that's when mommy visits!
In my free time, which is all of the time, really, I like: having my belly rubbed (it feels like a piglet, so I'm told), laying on stuff (especially dirty laundry) and making strange noises (snorts, wheezes and the occasional toot, too). I'm working on my hound dog bay. My voice is getting pretty loud, but my bark is definitely not as bad as my sharp little puppy bite.
I love to go on walks! When I'm out and about, my favorite thing is picking up sticks from one yard and moving them the to the next. Yes, your neighbors would probably hate me, but I'm just trying to live the dream - my greatest aspiration is to open my own business! "Hazel's stick removal service, at your service!" Mommy and daddy are just glad I don't specialize in poo removal, if you catch my drift...
As long as we've covered likes, here's what really gets my grumpy face (see photos) going: baths, when daddy says "no" real loud, being woke up from a good nap (again, see photos), and when people/dogs/bicycles/cars and anything else that moves/is living passes me without saying hi. My personal goal is to become the only dog in the entire world to meet and be pet by all of the people in the entire world. Achievable, I think.
If you think I'm cute, let me know! ()'.'() Love, Hazel
