Leonard is my sweet kitty baby I adopted at work. He was run over by a car at one month, and then dropped off at the humane society. My Dr.'s wife is a vet at the humane society, and instead of letting them euthanize him, brought him to our clinic to do charity surgery on him. His right femur was broken and dislocated, but he was fixed up and a month later was able to come home with me! He recovered nicely from his leg surgery, only to come down with a breathing problem 5 months later. X-rays showed a diaphragmatic hernia, and a week later needed to go into emergency surgery. His spleen, half his liver, half his stomach, some of his intestines, and all of the fatty tissue around these organs had moved up into his chest cavity crushing his lungs.
He survived the surgery and is doing well! He's going to have to live in his kennel for a few weeks until his stitches come out, but better safe than sorry!
We love our little Lemmy kitty so much, he is such a sweet and loving little boy, and we cannot wait to watch him grow up!!
