"With their qualities of cleanliness, discretion, affection, patience, dignity, and courage, how many of us, I ask you, would be capable of becoming cats?"
Zipper was the runt of her litter, as the runt no one wanted her and she was to be put down. I had just lost my cat of 17 years months before and my mother told me if I wanted I may have another cat to give all my affection to, and she won me over as soon as I met her. Zipper was cautious of people at first. She'd hide behind my desk when I left the room and only ran out when I came back, she gained the name Zipper simply because she always zipped around and I wanted a Z name in remembrance of my cat who recently passed at the time.
My name is Zipper. I'm a loner who rather wander the backyard then play with my siblings. Mommy gave me the last name Geisha because she said the way I walked was so proper, beautiful and the white on my chest reminded her of geisha makeup. I use to pass my time chasing pigeons and bringing live sparrows into my home, but mommy soon forbid those actions and I was not allowed out for a very long time, I soon acted cute enough for her to agree to let me out after breakfast and I'd return for lunch. My favorite things to do are turn on the faucet to watch the water, sleep in laundry baskets in the basement and tackle my sister Nana. I am on the quest of teaching humans to live more like cats. When you're hungry, eat. When you're tired, nap in a sunbeam. When you go to the vet's, pee on your owner.
