Hi, I'm Shadow. I'm a very sweet, but shy kitty. I live with my sister Sugar
Shadow is a beautiful black cat with medium hair, he was found abandoned in 2012, very sick and skinny, he is probably the kindest cat I've ever seen, he loves to cuddle with us and is always following us, that's why I called him Shadow, because he is my little shadow, always with me!
I am not a Norwegian Forest cat, but my owner couldn't change it, we don't know why.
Black and white cat
We rescued Shadow from our back yard. We believe he was about a year old, when we brought him in. He is still very afraid of people, except for us. He is our baby. I have even taught him to sit up and shake hands for treats.
Shadow fits her name perfectly and you never know she is around except at feeding time. She has a very shiny solid black coat very beautiful and dainty.
Shadow is a rare silver blue tabby I found him when he was 5-6 weeks outside on my papas death date September 22 I thought the cat was in a tee till he crawled out under a fence were horses were crying and walked right at my leg I picked him up and took him home begged mom to keep him and we did
I was born in my momma's house. My kitty momma ran away and I began to follow my human momma around the house, which is where I got the name Shadow...not to mention I'm gray
Shadow came into the family because the neighbors were unable to take care of him. When his current mommy got out of the US Navy she needed someone at the home to talk to and love so she asked her parents about a cat and they gave her Shadow. Shadow had always picked on her since they met by attacking her feet or hitting her head while he sat in the cat tree behind her when she came to visit. So when his mommy took him from Utah to California he was excited and instantly fell in love with the house. He has now moved from California back to Utah and now lives in his home town again where he cuddles with his mommy and daddy.
Shadow is Tabu's sister. They were born to a feral mom. Shadow has lovely long black fur and a big fluffy tail. Satin is Shadow's mini me because she looks like a smaller version of Shadow. As Satin has grown I put a pink collar on her so I could tell her from Shadow, The most loving kitty in the house is definately Shadow. She loves everyone and likes to give kitty kisses. She is my hubby's favorite cat..
Shadow was rescued from our local aspca and moved in with our family, despite having a few other pets already in our home . She is really special, because after her mommy owner had two strokes, she would come to her room and just lay on her. We think it's because she didnt want her to get sick and leave again. This made her mom very happy and helped her to recover sooner. Shadow gets mad at the other pets in the home still and launches a paw and a hiss now and then.. Also I might not have mentioned that shadow does not meow... She only squeaks, much like tango.. We haven't figured out why just yet, but we love them just the same...
Hello everyone! My mom lost the kitty she had adopted from her late aunt, and when she heard that the animal shelter had a huge overload of kittens, guess where she went? She found me and my new sister, Calliope, that day and I got to come home with her right away. Calli was not available for another week, but as soon as she was, Mom drove back and brought her home too! I love my new place and I love to snuggle with my mom and dad! I am 6 months old now and just had my neutering taken care of. I have a great life!!
I am Smiley and Baaboo's brother, I was supposed to go to Florida to my adoptive home but every transport mom or my adoptive mom lined up for me, something in the transporter's lives happened and the transport fell through, this went on month after month, till mom finally decided last month, that I'm too old now to take to transport well as I have gotten shy of strangers now that I am a year old, well that and it seemed fate was telling mom to keep me, mol. So I get to stay here too, yipee, mom says she's already used to taking care of me and has me in the budget anyway, mol.
I'm the baby of the Family =^.^=
Shadow was the last kitten left from my Brother's cat which no one wanted, so I took him before they took him to the pound. Shadow has probably been one of the best cats I have ever have! He has such a great personality! He loves playing with my 9 mnth old Golden Retriever Bella. He is so cute. I named him Shadow due to the fact that he follows me around everywhere!!
Shadow was a "feral" cat, which someone had trapped, had neutered and released. He was approximately 6 months old when I discovered him skulking around my house as part of a small family of raccoons who appeared to have adopted him. It seems the raccoons were showing him how to find food and he was travelling with them from house to house, looking for petfood left out by unsuspecting pet owners for their own pets. Shadow was fearful and I couldn't get close to him, but the raccoons and I developed a relationship over time and the mother, whom I named Skitter and her daughter, named Whisper, came to trust me. Skitter would reach out to touch me and lay her paw in my hand. It was a very sweet gesture that always warmed my heart. One Summer day, at about 7 pm, (it was still light and dangerous for the raccoons to be "out" as my landlord was trapping them and having them euthanized), I arrived home to find Skitter and the black feral cat sitting side by side, on the lawn next to the sidewalk, waiting for me to park my car. I was very surprised and tried to shoo them into the bushes where they wouldn't be seen. But instead, Skitter turned around and looking over at the wild black cat, very purposefully walked ahead of me, the cat at her side and sat on my doormat awaiting my arrival. Well, I was stunned. I followed them to the house and stood looking at them and them at me. Skitter looked at the black cat, then at me, then back at the cat and back at me again. Then, looking one last time at the cat, I could have sworn "something" passed between them, some form of communication, Skitter turned around and ambled off towards the slowly setting sun. I looked down at the cat, who looked up at me, fearlessly and as tame as could be, and said, "well, I guess this means you'll be staying with me from now on...how do you like the name Shadow?" That was the first and last time I needed to say his new name, for him to recognize it as his own. He has come to the name "Shadow" ever since and is tame as tame can be. He lives with my other cats as an indoor only cat and if I can pass a night without him sleeping in my arms or on top of me, I'm lucky. Shadow is dark enough that he is hard to photograph, but I have a few good pictures of him which actually show his face. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Shadow has a funny quirk: like his adoptive Mama, Skitter, Shadow stretches out his arm to lay his pay in my hand. Every time he does it, it brings back my memories of Skitter. I did see Skitter again after a few months, still with Whisper, but now with several new baby raccoons. She hung around for at least a couple more years until I scared her off, in fear of the landlord, after he trapped her babies. She was so intelligent, she seemed to know what I was doing and I haven't seen Skitter and Whisper since, at least, I don't think so. I am hoping that they are still out there somewhere, safe and sound.
