Can't remember much about my life in the early days, but somehow I ended up at the West LA Animal Shelter with a fever at the end of 2010. Humans took care of me and when I felt better they put me in small little cage (HATE small spaces!!!). Pretty confusing. Not too much to do so I spent a lot of time laying down in my favorite pose -- with one paw hanging off the ledge and my chin flat on the floor. I was reallllllyyyy bored there -- I like playing! And I need tons of space to run around.

Some time in February a girl came and was looking at me for awhile. I reached out my paw through the cage to touch her forehead and that sealed the deal (really? that's it? she's so easy). She came back for me every day for a few days -- honestly it shouldn't have taken her so long -- until she finally decided to take me to a new place with her. I wasn't sure I'd like it at first, but now I can't imagine being without her. Seriously -- I follow her everywhere. Why can't she just stay home with me all the time?

As for the Shady thing, apparently I was named after this rapper guy she says is her idol. She plays his music for me and says "Shady! Listen to who it is!" (PS I don't care) and I watched him during the Grammys to make her happy and see what all the excitement was about. Wasn't impressed and took a nap instead. But apparently I fit my name perfectly bc I'm a little crazy. :)

I am a sucker for anything fuzzy and love playing fetch with the human. I'm super silly and curious too with tons and tons of energy. I don't nap nearly as much as other cats! The human sleeps more than I do sometimes. I also love looking out the window.

To sum it up, I'm the G.O.A.T (that's greatest of all time). MEOW!

Hi there. I am a sweet patient cat. I have a big sister named Silky. I love getting drinks fresh out of the bath tub faucet. It kind of drives my mom crazy, but I still do it. It is yummy. All I have to do is give a sweet little meow and she turns the water on for me every morning. I also have another cat living with me. He's just a roommate, and boy my big sister does not like him. She hisses at him all the time. I don't mind him though. He just eats a lot and snores during his many cat naps.
