Hallie is a wonderful Shiba Inu mix who is a little too smart for her own good. Her specialty is opening doors, but her antics don't end there. She is a goofball who brings a smile to every person who meets her. Although she knows how to get into trouble, she does have a certain aspect of her personality which amazes me. When a dog or person is in distress, she attends to them until they are comforted. I work at a doggy daycare and sometimes new dogs are not comfortable in the environment. As much as Hallie loves to play, I have noticed she would go and sit with the new dog until they felt comfortable enough to mingle with other dogs. She does the same thing with people. Any time she is in the same room with someone who is stressed or upset, she will go and sit with them. My boss is a trainer for therapy dogs, so I plan on working with her and getting her certified to become a therapy dog.
