Great addition to our family.
I was a rescue dog from the Humane Society. I was supposed to grow up with my mom's brother, but he wasn't able to keep me after his living situation changed, so I moved to country life with mom... boy is it soooo much funner than the city! My sister Talia and I run all over the place, but we know where the boundary is and are very careful not to cross that line! I love to give doggie kisses and hugs. but I am so clumsy I often knock people over with my enthusiasm.
Copper is a great family pet who spends his time playing with the kids and asking anybody to throw his toys so he can fetch.
Cooper is a happy, energetic, fetch-loving, high-fiving, furry ball of love. He is married to Chloe and they have one daughter, Jessie. Cooper is a proud member of our family. He loves the limelight and takes advantage of any photo op thrown his way. He is lightning fast when chasing a ball and is very skilled at predicting where the ball will go. He loves socializing with other people and dogs.
Hi I am Cooper I am about 3 or 4 years old ! I am a Cockalier and am very sweet and loving! I LOVE to chase flies and flashlights around the house !!!
I adopted Cooper as an owner surrender 3 months ago. He is a precious Min Pin. He is rambunctious, curious, and so loving. He loves attention, and must be the center of it at all times. When he sleeps, he has to sleep right next to you all night long. He loves to play with his toys, his favorite being a tiger that's bigger than him. He also barks and chases birds.
I have a twin brother, his name is Davis!
Now, despite what you may think my name 'Cooper' is not in honour of the most iconic tiny car in the history of mankind. No, no, no, no. Rather it is in honour of one of my Mom's favourite tv characters - Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory. OH, I go by many versions of my name (Poopsicle, Coopeeeeee, Poops, Coop-Coop-Beep-Beep, Doeks etc) but I respond to any and all of these.
My story... should you be interested in hearing it, is an interesting and sad one but has a very happy ending! You see, my Mom Mom, Tinkie had 5 of us. My brothers and sisters were all beautiful. Black and white, tan, chocolate and tan, and so on. I looked like Elmo, my Dad Dad. I am what they call a 'splash' coloured Chihuahua. I have three colours, black tan and white. I have this really cool white blaze on my chest with 16 black dots, a white patch my Mom calls my 'goatee' under my chin and my 'Michael Jackson' white paw. I have splashes of white all over my black and tan coat. Now all my brothers and sisters were sold to their forever homes except me and I wondered, was it because I was different? Because I had too many colours? Did I play too roughly with the people when they came to look at me?
Meanwhile... at Walter Street my Mom to be Kelee had adopted from the SPCA. She brought home what we in South Africa call a 'steek-haar brakkie' A standing out hair dog. It was some mixed wire head terrier breed. My Mom named her Sugar. She adopted her from the local SPCA. That afternoon my mom and her sister Kimmee pulled off over 100 ticks from Sugars body. My Mom was so angry and heartbroken to see Sugar in such a bad condition, especially considering that she asked the handlers to screen the dog for ticks, make sure they were off and that she was okay to go to a forever home. She took Sugar to Dr Abbas who said that she was under weight and not 100%. My Mom took Sugar home and noticed that night that she was walking in a fixed pattern and stumbling to her left and struggling to stand up.
Sugar bumped her head into the furniture, tripped and didn't want to get up. My Mom took her back to Dr Abbas the next morning and after numerous tests discovered that she had permanent damage to her middle ear and had contracted a brain disease. My Mom had waited 26 years to have a pup of her own and now she was going to lose her before she'd even had her. The decision was placed upon my Mom and she decided that Sugar couldn't suffer like this. The stumbling, the bumping her head and yelping, it wasn't fair. Sugar crossed the Rainbow Bridge in my Mommy's arms.
My Mom spent the entire day sobbing. She was... whats the word she uses... apoppo, appoplet... apoplectic! She would cry hysterically for what she's just seen and then go into a state of cat... cater... catatonia where she would sit and not move. She was so frightened to get a dog and said she doesn't want one ever again. Never ever again. Meanwhile my Ouma (grandma in Afrikaans) to be , my Ouma Grootjie (Great grandma) to be and my auntie to be all discussed it and decided that I must come and heal my Mommy's heart. So my Mom cried and was still awake when auntie brought me home with her early that morning, 1:20 to be precise. My Mom says she'll never forget how scared she was to see me and how clever auntie was to write the letter first. My auntie wrote a beautiful letter saying that I needed a home, and would my Mom please not take me? I had a tartan ribbon around my neck and I was SO tired. While Mom was reading the letter auntie put me down on my Mommys chest and I crawled into her neck and nuzzled my nose into her hair and fell asleep, splayed like a star. I remember hearing my Mommy sobbing like mad but slept through it.
So that is my story. Mom says nobody took me because God knew she would need me and I needed to be around to be her puppy band-aid that would heal her heart. My Mom adores me and so do all the people who work at her school. I get treats from all the children, but Mommy watches carefully for chocolate and grapes! I didn't know grapes were poisonous for me but it seems they are! Wow! My Mom buys me so many treats and toys and she says its because I am her child. Isn't that awesome? I'm not even someones pet, I am their child! I am with Mom always. I got to work with her and spend everyday all day with her. I love her so much and wake her every morning with a face full of kisses.
God made me as my Mom's own special miracle. I am so happy and lucky to have her as my Mom and she is so happy and lucky to have me as her furry child.
Kelee: Cooper is the puppy band aid that I needed to heal my broken heart. He is the greatest hot water bottle for this winter and I haven't been so in love with an animal ever like I am with Coopee. My little miracle from God.
He is so sweet and loves be with his family. The picture is of him when he was puppy!
Hello Everyone!!! I am Cooper Looper!!! I turn 2 soon and am almost out of puppy stages (meaning I'm finally not chewing stuff up other than my Nylabones)!!! My big brudder, Atticus, always tries to keep me out of trouble, but he's too much fun to play with. I love the outdoors...and the little mice and frogs that come play in our yard.
I am fun when I play dress up (my 11 y/o human sister likes that too) and I have a very kissable nose....at least my mom snuffles and kisses it all the time!
I look forward to making tons of friends with everyone!!
