The sweetest chocolate chunk there ever was!
Lucy is a loving, passive, beautiful dog that loves people and all dogs. She is not food aggressive and loves chest rubs.
Despite her size, Lucy loves tennis balls! They're bigger than her head and yet she still manages to fetch them without a problem. She doesn't even like the balls meant for her size. Luckily for her photographer mama, Lucy is a natural model! People who have seen us taking photos are always in awe of how well she poses for the camera.
Lucy, the cheekiest, cutest pup. Ladylike and a tom boy all rolled in to one...think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's with welly boots under her dress!!
black, brown, very cute, large eyes, large nose, black lips, quite small
Great personality and fun loving dog
very cute and always jumps around and when she hits you she starts to cry because it means she is so sorry
My History :
When I was 4 months old, I was sold to a man along with my sister, Baby. He named me Parvo and my sister Polo. We liked the big yard he put us in, but not how he treated us.
He didn't feed us for days at a time, I was only 16 pounds at four months and my sister was even thinner. We didn't like him so we'd hide. One day we realized the fence behind the house wasn't that tall and we both jumped it into the neighbor's yard. It had grass, unlike our house, ours only had rocks which hurt our paws to run on. There was a girl there, she fed us all kinds of food and played with us all day, until he came and took us back.
But that didn't stop us. We continued to return to the girl and she made us feel safe, even if our owner started to hit us and abuse us, we only wanted to go back to her more.
Eventually, our owner chained us up to a tree in the yard, the chain collar was so tight my fur stopped growing around my neck. My sister wouldn't even move with the chain on her.
He'd keep us chained for a few days then let us off. As soon as he was out of sight we'd return to her and make sure she knew we were alright.
This happened for two months until something terrible happened. My sister had broken her chain and escaped to her and my owner was furious. I'd never heard him yell like that before. He brought her back home and then he killed her. I don't know how, I wasn't there, I was chained up on the other side of the yard. But I know he killed her, he told his friends and they all laughed about it.
I missed my sister so much and I was afraid he'd do the same to me. So I was smart about my visits to the girl. I'd visit her every day for only a few minutes in the morning or the middle of the night. She'd feed me and kiss my head and tell me that she loved me and one day she'd save me from him, after that I'd have to leave.
The abuse slowed when I stopped hiding at the girls house. He didn't know I went there and so things were alright...for a little while.
But two months later of sneaking around, I was chained up one day and this guy came over. He smelled like smoke and was mean, he threw a bottle at me and it broke, giving me a small scar I hold today on the left side of my muzzle. I was so mad I lunged for him and he was just close enough for me to bite his leg.
It was bad of me but I wasn't going to take abuse any longer. I wouldn't let my owner touch me, I'd growl and snap at him every time he'd come near.
Animal control came over one day and said I was vicious and complaints had been made on me. If he couldn't stop my behavior I'd have to be put to sleep. I was scared about that so again I waited until I was off the leash and I cleared the fence in a single bound back to her, the girl who said she'd save me.
She'd heard from my owner what was going to happen to me and she cried. She didn't stop crying so I stayed with her for a long time, her mother saw how much pain she was going through and we both watched as she went to the back of the yard.
We heard talking and muttering, so when she came back we expected my owner to come take me away for the last time, but he wasn't there. Her mother came to us and told us. "Don't expect anything else for your birthday. Bring her inside."
So that's the end of my story. The girl who lived behind my house became my owner and kept her promise. She saved me from the man who killed my sister and I will return the favor and protect her with my life. She named me Lucy and my sister, even though she had passed away, Baby. Baby will remain in my heart forever and one day that horrible man will get what's coming to him. I only wish Baby could have been saved too.
Hi! My name is Miss Lucy. You can call me Lucy. I just arrived at my forever home (at 7yrs young) and I LOVE it here! Mom says I have a spring loaded booty since I can jump as high as her head to try and snatch food from her! I am very energetic and love chasing mom. I occasionally play with the other dogs, not the cats though... they don't like me. When I get here I had some serious fur issues. My fur coat is soft, shiny, and full now! It's amazing what can happen when you find someone that actually cares about you! I am a big snuggle bug. Mom also says I have a helicopter butt because when I get extremely excited I wag my tail in circles and my back legs run faster than my front so it looks like I am draging my butt on the floor! I say it is more like motorboat booty, but she says she likes helicopter better... humans...
Lucy is a little chubby dog that spends her days with my grandfather. She loves her tummy rubbed and she likes to bark when people come to the door.
