We got Dad Fish (before he was a "Dad") from an aquarium store in Columbus, Ohio, 6 years ago, along with a female fish who seemed to be on "good terms" with him. They were both less than 2 inches long, the female smaller than the male. We gave them a tank of their own, fed 'em good, they grew and grew, and, well, they multiplied! Their broods were large and they were great parents. Their numerous offspring have gone to many different homes, and now Dad Fish, Mom, and their adult daughter live in a 90 gallon tank with a few compatible tank mates. Dad now is probably 9" from nose to base of tail and will take food from my fingers. They are all spoiled happily rotten!
