We love a good animal BFF-dom, and this latest one is truly adorable.

Max the Dog is a husky and, on his own, he's pretty darn adorable.

But then, so is Quackers, the aptly-named duck.

Max is 12 years old and Quackers is 4 years old, but their age gap doesn't get in the way of their friendship any more than the fact that they are completely different species.

Max's owners, Patrick and Kirsten Riley of Strout, Minnesota, adopted Quackers and their friendship connection was instantaneous. "Max would sit next to his pen all the time, and they just kind of bonded that way," Patrick told WCCO-TV. "After we let him out, they never left each other's side."

They take walks together and generally act like true BFFs.

“It’s enough to get anyone driving by to do a double-take,” Patrick said of their walks.

"We see people stopping over there all the time. The traffic gets clogged up over there sometimes because of all the pictures getting taken," Alisa added.
