This Poodle Puppy Getting Its First Bath Is The Cutest Thing You'll See All Day

When it comes to their beloved pets, people can disagree on a seemingly endless list of topics. Whether cats should be allowed outdoors. Whether dogs should be permitted on the furniture. Whether wet or dry cat food is healthiest. Whether dogs are better pets than cats. However, one topic absolutely every pet lover can agree on is the supreme cuteness of videos and photos showing puppies taking their very first bath

The_hayeks shared a video on TikTok of one of her adorable miniature poodle puppies getting its first bath — in a bright green children's wading pool placed in her kitchen. Viewers couldn't help but have all the feels when watching the adorable little floof doggie paddling around in the kiddie pool, getting shampooed, having its curly fur blown dry, then being tucked into an avocado-adorned onesie, looking fluffy and contented. More than 2.2 million people liked the video, and over 20,000 people commented on it. Everyone seemed to agree the precious little poodle was living its best pampered and comfortable life. One commenter on the video, Cry5qh, asked cheekily, "Are you accepting applications for a new puppy? I can bark."

How should you bathe your puppy?

Several commenters, though, expressed concern about the excessive amount of water being used to bathe the cute creature. Viewer shanda_morris11 wrote "😂😂😂 Girl take some of that water out!! You're going to destroy your floors." Others mentioned repeatedly that the wading pool would be onerous and time-consuming to empty and questioned why a bathtub, shower, or kitchen sink wasn't used instead, to make the whole process quicker and easier.

When it's time to bathe your own pampered pooch, whether you choose to do so indoors or outdoors, in a shower, a tub, or a child's swimming pool, always be sure to plan ahead, and use only as much water as your dog is comfortable with. Tire your dog out ahead of time, so your pup doesn't turn bath time into soggy playtime. Brush your dog thoroughly beforehand to help deal with mats. Consider distracting your dog during the bath with a tasty treat such as peanut butter smeared on the wall. Tips such as these will make bathing your dog much easier, so you, too, can end up with a clean, fluffy, contented-looking pup — with or without the avocado onesie.
