4-Pound Pit Bull Foster Puppy Wearing Pajamas For The First Time Is Too Cute For Words
What could be cuter than a tiny little puppy? That same puppy wearing itty-bitty pajamas. In a TikTok video that's been viewed more than 578,000 times, a dog lover who's been fostering for over a decade dressed her pit bull foster puppy in the most precious little PJs adorned with canine faces. Even though the pajamas were small, they were still adorably too big for the 4-pound pup, who got showered with kisses during the whole process.
@we.three.pitties Baby's first set of pajamas 🥺 Just when I thought she couldn't get any cuter...I stuck some mini PJs on her teeny tiny little bod and here we are. How cute is she in her itty bitty pajamas 😭 Follow along for daily foster updates 🩶 #dogmomlife #fosteringsaveslives #cutedogvideos #fosterdog #pitbullpuppy
"As if puppies couldn't be any cuter, puppies in PJs come along," one viewer wrote. "I don't know if my heart can actually handle this ... she's so small," another commented. Everyone agreed on how sweet the puppy looked in her PJs, and several asked if she was available for adoption. The foster mom shared another TikTok video (which has racked up 1.4 million views) of the darling doggo a month later, now fitting into the PJs. It's clear the internet can't get enough of seeing cute dogs who are ready for bed, especially if they're sleepy dogs wearing onesies.
The challenges of adopting a pit bull
Pit bulls have long been saddled with a bad reputation. There are definitely pros and cons to pit bulls, but these smart, strong, loyal dogs have been unfairly mischaracterized as dangerous and bloodthirsty. "I will never understand how anyone could tell me that the breed is bad. They're just sweet little potatoes, and they just want love," one viewer of the first TikTok video wrote. "I don't know her. But I love her," another added.
Before adopting a "bully breed" of dog, make sure you're aware of challenges, such as some apartment buildings — or even entire cities — having strict rules around pit bulls, or, occasionally, banning the dogs entirely. In addition, an animal shelter or rescue organization may put a prospective adopter of a pit bull through extra screening to make sure the dog is a good fit for the home.
Fortunately for the pajama-wearing pittie in the TikTok videos, a forever family was soon found. The foster mom shared in a later video the journey of the puppy, now named Pea, being delivered to her new home. Of course, in the video, Pea is shown wearing her famous PJs.
