In a 32-second clip, Kodiak's dog mom shares that her darling pup likes to serenade the neighbors in the morning, as he seems to almost yodel along to background music. Though Kodiak's wail is amazing, his beautiful red and white fur totally steals the show. One viewer made the perfect reference, calling him "Clifford the Big Red Dog." Another fan agreed, stating, "What an absolutely gorgeous fur baby! Please thank him for the lovely serenade." Bottom line? Kodiak sure knows how to make the most out of a morning walk.

How to spot other bernedoodles like Kodiak

Bernedoodles are a darling mix between a Bernese mountain dog and a poodle, and they're one of several types of doodle dogs, or dog breeds mixed with poodles. Like labradoodles and cavapoos, bernedoodles are gaining popularity, so they may get easier to spot over time. However, if you're wondering how to visually determine the breed mix of a dog right now, its coat might give you some answers.

Bernese mountain dogs are known for their beautifully thick double coats and typical three-color blend of black, rust red, white, and/or tan. Poodles, on the other hand, can vary much more in terms of color, including several shades of red. With this in mind, it makes sense that Kodiak's mostly bright red poodle colored fur features white fur patches in a similar pattern you might see in Bernese mountain dogs. The fact is, just two pigments, called eumelanin (black) and phaeomelanin (red), determine the many brilliant color variations found in dogs, which is what leads to such unique coat colors when mixed in a variety of ways. So, whether you're lucky enough to spot a coat like Kodiak's in the wild or not, remember: they're all special!
