Muskoka Puppy Yoga in Ontario, Canada, describes itself as holding classes that "blend the therapeutic power of yoga with the joy of interacting with playful puppies, offering a unique and accessible approach to managing anxiety, depression, and PTSD." In one of their utterly captivating TikTok videos that's been viewed more than 14.8 million times, some rambunctious corgi puppies bring the cutest chaos imaginable to a yoga class. The video starts with one of the puppies rolling into frame, and the adorable animal antics continue from there. Puppies run around the room, chase each other, climb under and over people, and lick the instructor's face.
"Can I have this minus the yoga?" a viewer commented, while many others pointed out that very little yoga seemed to be happening because everyone was completely focused on the darling dogs. One person wrote, "I will happily sign up for yoga classes if it means I get to play with an adorable corgi puppy or 6! 😍😍" More than one person confessed they would be guilty of stealing puppies if they attended this class, and several made mention of Melissa McCarthy's character in the movie "Bridesmaids," who brings home nine puppies.
All about corgis
When it comes to dogs with short legs, corgis are usually the breed that first springs to mind. There are actually two distinct breeds of corgi, which are easily confused: the Pembroke Welsh corgi and the Cardigan Welsh corgi. They both have short legs, long bodies, big heads, and ears that stick upright, but the Cardigan is a bit larger and has a long, bushy tail similar to a fox's. The Pembroke is often born with a short tail, and some owners dock the tail to conform to the American Kennel Club's breed standard for Pembroke Welsh corgis.
Despite their short legs, corgis are one of the most active dog breeds. They were originally bred to herd cattle, and being low to the ground allowed them to evade cows' kicks. These dogs are accustomed to running around a lot — and barking loudly at larger creatures to prove who's in charge. One viewer of the TikTok video asked what happens to the corgi puppies when they get older, to which another viewer responded, "They judge you for everything, yell at you for no reason, eat you out of your house, and try to herd every animal they come across. Yes, I know this from experience."
