Orange-And-White Cat Never Stops Begging For Grandpa's Love And It's Melting Hearts
How cats choose their favorite person is often a mystery. But when they do, it can be incredibly obvious, like in this TikTok video where an orange-and-white cat, Diesel, has totally warmed up to one unexpected person: his cat mom's dad!

Diesel's grandpa brings out the best in him, as shown in an incredible three-video friendship saga posted on Diesel's TikTok account. His cat mom described her confusion in each video, first saying, "I don't recognize my cat anymore when he's with my dad." Apparently, Diesel is typically quite grumpy, according to the TikToker, so it's absolutely newsworthy when Diesel snuggles up to his grandpa almost immediately, especially when he gets extra cuddly.
This darling friendship is even more interesting when we learn that Grandpa is usually known to be quite indifferent towards pets. Yet, these two clearly love each other! Viewers sounded off in the comments that Diesel has simply made his choice on his favorite person, and they just might be right. One commenter even called Diesel, "Grandpa's boy."
Why is Diesel so obsessed with Grandpa?
Diesel and his grandpa are surely besties, but what makes Diesel so drawn to him anyway? Well, the answer might be simpler than you think. First off, it's important to consider your cat's personality. Felines tend to be drawn to similar temperaments in humans, so it makes sense that a rather aloof cat like Diesel likes a grandpa known for his own sort of indifference.
The evolution of cats as pretty independent creatures has made these animals not the most trusting of humans. So, that initial cat-human bond can do a lot of heavy lifting, too.
