Australian Shepherds Create A Splash Zone With Water Bowl Like True Troublemakers
What could possibly be cuter than an Australian shepherd puppy? Two Australian shepherd puppies — especially if they're splashing around in their water bowl and making an adorably soggy mess. A funny video on TikTok captures two tiny troublemakers who are small in size but big in their mess-making capabilities. "Get 2 dogs, they said. They'll keep each other busy, they said," is written overtop of the video. One viewer commented, "lol looks like they are doing [an] amazing job keeping each other busy 😄 😀." Another added, "They created an indoor water feature."

Several owners of Australian shepherds shared stories of their own furry rascals, and a few suggested that these dogs mellow out a bit upon reaching about 18 months or 2 years of age. One person wrote, "You will think you bought the devil until they are about two. Sweetest, most loving babies in the world." Pretty much all of the commenters agreed that despite their propensity for mischief, these two specific Aussie shepherd pups make the cutest little partners in crime.
The boundless energy of Australian shepherds
"I just got a six-month-old Aussie, and I am in the trenches HOW DO THEY JUST NOT GET TIRED," one exasperated dog owner commented on the TikTok video. Bred to be herding dogs on farms, Australian shepherds have a strong work ethic and energy galore. They're ready and willing to spend hour upon hour herding cattle, and if no cattle are nearby, then they'll happily herd the nearest children or dogs. These athletic dogs need long walks or hikes every day in order to be content and healthy.
Aussie shepherds are so smart that they also require a lot of mental stimulation. Many of them love the challenge of competing in agility or herding competitions. "Aussies get more tired from mental stimulation than physical exercise. We usually do about 15 minutes of intense, repeated training, and they knock out for a few hours at least," one person commented on the video.
