Tuxedo Dwarf Cat Can't Stop Meowing For More Food After Being Paid 'Cheese Tax'

It's hard for any fan of felines to resist kittens, with their tiny fuzzy bodies and large eyes. It's equally difficult to resist the allure of cat breeds that stay small, like the munchkin cat, or kitties with feline dwarfism, such as a little black-and-white sweetheart named Figgy. In an adorable TikTok video captioned "Cheese tax paid but she keeps on coming back for more 🧀," Figgy lets out tiny meows while delicately pawing at her owner. "No more cheese. All gone," her owner says in the video, which has been viewed more than 123,000 times, but Figgy is tenacious in her quest for more of her favorite snack.

Viewers of the TikTok video were enamored with the teeny tuxedo cat and her polite meows, calling Figgy cute, beautiful, and precious. "Run as fast as you can to the shop for cheese 🥰🥰🥰🥰," one viewer commented, while another wrote, "Lies! You're clearly hiding more cheese from her and she knows it!"

The truth about cats and dairy products

Figgy and many other cats love dairy products such as cheese, but is it good for them? Both kittens and human babies produce plenty of the enzyme lactase, which helps them digest lactose, a sugar present in mother's milk and other dairy. But as kittens and babies age, they produce less and less lactase, making the digestion of dairy more difficult. Lactose intolerance is actually quite common in cats, usually presenting as diarrhea, gas, or vomiting. Some cats that can't tolerate milk or cream might be able to consume small quantities of cheese, yogurt, or ice cream, since different dairy products contain differing amounts of lactose.

Even for cats that tolerate lactose well, cheese should be an infrequent treat, as it is high in both calories and fat. Hiding a pill inside a piece of cheese can be an efficient way to deliver medication to a dairy-obsessed cat. As for Figgy? She seems to think there's never too much cheese. "Are those pesky Cheese Taxes going up again? lol 😹" one viewer of the video joked, while another demanded, "I have cheese, you'll have to give Figgy to me 🤣."
