Pug Gets Overtaken With Car Zoomies While Waiting For Her In-N-Out Order

If dogs could pick all their own food, what do you think they'd choose? Well, you can likely refer to your last meal for a clue, because dogs tend to love human food. Actually, some pups might even steal your food if they get the chance. Luckily, though, some fidos don't have to sneak at all, like in this popular TikTok video where one super cute pug named Piña gets the car zoomies from a surprise treat from In-N-Out.

Did you know some restaurants have a secret dog menu? Because Piña the pug sure does! The second her dog mom stops at the In-N-Out window and mentions the words "pup patty," mini-car zoomies commence. Then, this pup-patty super-fan chows down on her hamburger in the most enthusiastic feast at the end of the video.

Piña was so visibly excited that one viewer joked, "I'm surprised that pup patty made it home!" Another played devil's advocate, encouraging the TikToker to let Piña try the whole menu next time. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves!

What's the best way to treat your pup?

Treats are a great way to show your pupper love and to reinforce positive behavior. Plus, dogs like Piña love them so much they literally get the zoomies (worth it)!  However, when it comes to food-based treats, there are a few things to consider, like what human food is safe for our fur babies to consume, and how often.

Now, there are a few toxic foods dogs can't eat, like chocolate, onions, and raisins, as they can have life-threatening effects when ingested. Other human foods, like a hamburger, for example, are a bit less straightforward. The TikToker noted it'd been a while since Piña had a pup patty, and that's good news. While a rare hamburger may be just fine, its high salt content and other seasonings can be dangerous for dogs if eaten too often.

Typically, the safest edible goodies are dog treats specifically made for canines, as they include all the necessary nutrients. One healthy way to treat your pup with human food is with vet-approved homemade dog food. Homemade treats are a great way to recreate those human faves your fido's been eyeing, but devoid of all the salt and excess non-dog friendly-ingredients. Plus, a well-made treat can still lead to zoomies!
