Mini Dachshund Puppy's Warm Welcome From Doxie Sibling Will Give You All The Feels
Sometimes, a new pet's introduction into the family goes smoother than anyone could have dreamed. That's certainly the case when a dachshund named Florence gave a delighted, over-the-top welcome to her new mini dachshund sibling, Jud. In a sweet TikTok video captioned "The moment we met 🩷" — which has been viewed more than 836,000 times and racked up over 128,000 likes — Florence wiggles and wags her tail with excitement when she sees the new puppy for the first time.
Little Jud appears less confident about the whole situation, turning away shyly as Florence happily sniffs him, but later videos posted to the TikTok account show that the indulged duo are now the best of friends, living the coddled life that every very good girl and very good boy deserves.

Viewers couldn't get enough of the pair of petite pooches. "The immediate sniff to licking their face 😭 They were bonding before you even put them down," wrote one person, and another commented, "Sooo who else is crying." One dachshund owner shared, "More than any other breed I've owned, they thrive with a buddy 🥰," while another noted, "One thing about a Doxie, they love another doxie!!!"
Should you get a second dog?
"Ohhhhh God, so cute 🥰 I already have one, but these videos make me want a second one 😭," one netizen commented after seeing Florence and Jud together. The desire to adopt additional pets is a definite hazard of watching an endless scroll of adorable animal videos. If you're wondering how to tell if your dog needs a companion, look for signs such as how your pet interacts with other animals — interested, playful, shy, fearful, aggressive, etc. If your pet suffers from loneliness, a second dog might help to ease boredom and prevent destructive behavior.
If you're lucky, your pooch might react as well as Florence did to the new pet. One viewer channeled Florence's thoughts upon first spotting Jud, writing, "Let me see him, let me see him, let me see him❣️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰." Another person succinctly summed up what it's like to invite dogs into your home: "What a privilege it is to take care of these beautiful creatures❤️🐾."
