If you've ever looked at your precious pup and thought, "My doggo would look absolutely adorable as a giraffe," then clearly you're not alone. Day of the Dogs Grooming, a pet salon in Arizona, posted Facebook before-and-after photos of a doodle dog named Fendi on their feed with the caption, "Fendi got the COMPLETE transformation today. Looking like a miniature Giraffe in the Safari 🦒😍."

The first photo of the post showed Fendi seeming a bit shaggy, ready to be groomed. In subsequent images, the newly shorn pooch sported the spots of a giraffe along with two little ponytails pointing straight up, mimicking the hornlike protrusions on a giraffe's head known as ossicones.

Some netizens were vehemently opposed to Fendi's new look, despite the fact that the pet salon undoubtedly dyed the dog's fur safely. "Why would you do that??" asked one, and another wrote, "I'm sorry this is just not right." A third commented, "It's a dog 🐩 let it be a dog please 🥺 poodles are beautiful just the way they are 🐩❤️." A few individuals expressed concern that the ponytails looked uncomfortably tight.

Some people defended Fendi's wild new look

Some pet owners had no issues with semi-permanently changing their animals' appearance, dyeing their dogs with food coloring or making their own pet-safe paint to temporarily alter their dog or cat's fur color. "Adorable little giraffe!!!" exclaimed one person about Fendi, while another suggested, "This would be cute for Halloween 🎃." One netizen praised the inventiveness of the dog's unusual new look, commenting, "A hair cut doesn't hurt and we do spend a lot of money on these babies so 'I do what I want.' Don't shame people for being creative."

Countless netizens tagged their friends on the Facebook post and suggested that their pets should get the giraffe look on their next trip to a pet salon. A few brave souls even suggested trying to achieve this look at home. One person summed up many people's thoughts by writing, "I'm trying so hard not to laugh, but that baby is too cute. I'll take a dozen please."
