Cowboy Sphynx Kitten Tries To 'Sabotage' His Owner's Costume Ahead Of A Halloween Party
From links to witchcraft and being called omens, cats have a generations-long association with all things macabre. Due to this, cats have truly earned the right to celebrate spooky season however they like. Well, that's exactly what one sphynx kitten thinks in a hilarious Instagram reel in which he attempts to sabotage his owner's Halloween party plans while wearing the sweetest little cowboy costume. Now, does he succeed? That's another story.
It all began with an Instagrammer named Rowe politely explaining why a super cute sphynx called The Tiny Dobby couldn't join them at a Halloween party. However, the tiny sphynx in question would not take "no" for an answer. "He's literally in real time trying to sabotage my costume, " said Rowe. But this just might be the cutest "sabotage" attempt of all time. In the next few seconds, The Tiny Dobby is seen donning the littlest cowboy costume to match Rowe's.
Despite the unbearable cuteness, Rowe still said Dobby couldn't go because the party was "not for babies." The comment section totally sided with Dobby, though. "Bring him to the party!" said one viewer in all caps. Another made the compelling argument that Rowe's costume is actually incomplete without Tiny Dobby, and we agree!
Tiny Dobby and his crew of sphynxes
In a wonderful turn of events, Rowe shared in a follow-up Instagram video that pets can, in fact, come to the Halloween party! Even better? Tiny Dobby as a cowboy sphynx isn't the only hairless cat joining in on the costume fun. He's a part of a whole crew of sphynx cats Rowe cares for, and this group loves little outings.
Rowe's Instagram is full of adorable feline adventures. In another Instagram video, we see Rowe traveling with two sphynx kittens in a hands-free carrier for their very first outing. Then, Tiny Dobby's seen again making demands. We learn that he's been begging to go to a pumpkin patch — so much so that he becomes a tiny pumpkin! Tiny Dobby's love of costumes is a lot like this cat in a Count Dracula costume in that he instantly becomes a model wherever he goes.
In many of the videos, Tiny Dobby and the other kittens are quite snuggly, even resting comfortably on Rowe's shoulder — a uniquely sphynx trait. They can be especially clingy felines, aka Velcro cats, likely due to their lack of fur and, therefore, perpetual chilliness. So, if you have a sphynx and you wonder why your cat follows you everywhere, they may just be searching for a warm place to rest—or an adorable costume to snuggle in!
