Golden Retriever Still Getting Carried Around Like A Baby By His Dad Is Pure Love

It's hard to look at a golden retriever and not smile, whether you see it in person, in a photo, or in a video. They're among the dog breeds with the best temperament and seem to always be in a good mood, and their fluffy fur might as well have "pet me" written on it. Adult goldens weigh 55-75 pounds, but as puppies (around 2 months old), they weigh only 10-15 pounds, so they can easily be carried like babies. For many dog owners, like Bowie's dad, the "carrying them like a baby" phase never ends. In an October 2025 Instagram clip, he lifts Bowie out of his truck and carries him like a toddler, even though Bowie is clearly not a 15-pound puppy anymore.

"One of our most loved videos of all time!! And not much has changed...just upgraded from 'light carry' to 'deadlift,'" the caption reads. Fans obsessed over the moment, pointing out what the pup was probably thinking. "I just a baby," one person commented. "Hehe, yes dad carry me," another viewer said. The clip first appeared on Instagram in September 2024, when the pup was around 6 months old, and has been reshared a couple of times because, as his dad said, it's a family favorite.

Bowie was born in March of 2024, so he's still very much a puppy in nature — and while fully grown now, his bond with his dad is still very strong. A November 2025 Instagram clip shows Bowie cuddling on his lap as they sit on the sofa. The golden has also been enjoying swimming in the pool, playing at the beach, and even riding in an electric sidecar bike with his mom.
