Dachshund Wearing The Cutest Ducky Pajamas Is Making The Internet Fall In Love
As if mini dachshunds couldn't get any cuter, the owners of this precious pup took things to the next level by dressing their already adorable canine companion, Penny, in ridiculously darling rubber ducky-themed pajamas. This short, straightforward TikTok video of the petite pooch showing off her PJs while climbing into bed has everyone on the internet saying the same thing, "awww."
@pennysworlddd move over, it's my bed now 🐾 #minidachshund #dachshund #dogsoftiktok #puppy #dogtok
The clip — nestled on Penny's TikTok page, named "pennysworlddd" aka "penny the weenie" — shows the tiny dachshund climbing up a stair-like pet ramp in order to curl up for the night next to her human, all while wearing whimsical blue and yellow jammies featuring a bunch of rubber ducks surrounded by bubbles.
"She's so stinkin' cute," exclaims one commenter, while another points out that "the pajamas are the thing that moved the video from cute to absolutely over the top adorable!" While a few viewers question whether a dog would actually be comfortable wearing nighttime clothes, most fellow dachshund owners just wanted to know where they could get their little four-legged friend a pair of precious pajamas for dogs (or you could even make your own pair!).
Do dogs mind wearing clothes?
While Penny the Weenie certainly didn't seem to mind wearing her adorable ducky pajamas to bed in that short TikTok video, pet owners should keep in mind that every dog is different. Some don't mind being dressed up, but for others, it's a hard no.
Safety and comfort should always come first when considering playing costume dress-up with your dog — or any pet, for that matter. Primary considerations must include avoiding potential choking hazards and anything toxic, along with making sure the outfit allows for unrestricted movement, bathroom breaks, and proper ventilation. If the dog shows any sign of stress (especially panting or unusual behavior), the costume should be removed immediately.
That said, in hot or humid weather, be extra careful about what you put them in, as you don't want your dog to overheat. No matter the breed or the outfit, never leave your pet unattended when they are wearing clothes, as they could get tangled up or caught on something and panic. Hopefully, your pup will enjoy an outfit just as much as Penny.
