"Everywhere I go, she follows," says the caption, as the TikTok video uploaded by a Tennessee dog breeder shows the black pup named Miss Orange chasing after a human set to the song "Belong Together" by Mark Ambor. "Who knew one black German shepherd puppy could bring so much joy?" asks the clip, as the two frolic in a grassy field for the perfect photo shoot. The doggy is a joy to watch as she runs, skips, and plays, enthusiastically licking and nipping along the way.
The "puppy phase goes to[o] fast 😭," says one commenter, while several others drop a note about how sweet German shepherds can be, especially their own. "My mom's black female is crazy obsessed with my mom," says one watcher. "They are really one person dogs." We hope precious Miss Orange finds her perfect life-long companion!
Some German shepherd traits
German shepherds are one of the most well-known and popular dog breeds, as they make both excellent pets and guard dogs and have an instantly recognizable look. They are large, usually weighing between 50 and 90 pounds, with a powerfully muscular build and naturally pointy ears. Some German shepherds, however, are born with floppy ears, giving them a softer look.
The breed is known to have a thick, weather-resistant double coat, making them outdoorsy dogs that need suitable grooming. And while German shepherds are often trained for the K9 police force and military, they also make great pets if they are properly socialized and receive enough physical and mental stimulation in the home. While these versatile canines are sometimes thought to be aloof, it all depends on the specific dog and how it was raised. As Miss Orange's TikTok comments note, once they become attached to a human, there's usually no turning back. You'll have a companion for life.
