Dachshund Puppies Reunite With Mom After 2 Weeks And You Can Feel The Love

It's always a little sad when you must leave your pets at home when you go away. But on the flipside, it is the best feeling to finally come back and see their precious faces again — and realizing exactly how much they missed you too. When the traveling pet parent first opens her front door, her adorable dachshund doggies run out to meet her, growing increasingly excited as they realize that she's truly returned. She notes "the amount of excitement in their little bodies," calling them "the most loving little creatures" before chronicling their happy cries, excited running, and uncoordinated jumps that made it the best welcome home.

"2 wks 🤦 do you know how loonngg that was in puppy time 😩," notes one viewer in the comments, as another bluntly asks how she keeps them from "peeing all over everything" from all the excitement. "Oh, they still pee 😭," the original poster replies. One person sums the video up perfectly, saying, "The love from a dachshund is unmatched." Indeed!

Do pets really miss you when you're on vacation?

You plan a vacation and make all the necessary arrangements for the proper care of your beloved pet or pets, hoping all goes well while you're gone and that you don't miss them too much. But part of you wonders, does my pet know that I'm leaving, and will they also miss me when I'm gone?

According to studies, the answer is yes, pets know when their caregivers are gone and miss their presence, sometimes shown by cats or dogs waiting by the door, looking out a window, or refusing to eat, and often accompanied by enthusiastic greetings at the door or soon after when the owners return. The unproven variable, however, is whether that same pet understands how much time has passed, as it's unclear whether they can distinguish between an eight-hour workday and an eight-day vacation.

When it comes to being a pet owner who has been away for a while, there's no doubt that the love and affection you receive upon return is both unmatched and most definitely appreciated. There's no place like home — and no greater love than the love of a pet! Want to see more adorable dogs excited for their owner's return?
