Known to be gentle giants, Bernese mountain dogs are widely renowned for being calm and good-natured, just like the pup in the TikTok video. Originally bred as Swiss farm dogs, they are considered to be excellent family pets, often forming a strong bond with their owners, and are generally a type of dog that's good with kids. 

Physically striking because of their extra-large size and fluffy, tri-colored coat, Bernese may look intimidating, but they are regaled for being super-social and affectionate, often craving attention and needing to be around people. In fact, they are sometimes prone to signs of separation anxiety if left alone for too long.

Other factors to consider if thinking about one as a pet are taking into account their size, as they usually weigh anywhere between 70 and 115 pounds, and are a tall, sturdy dog that needs some space. Also, their luxurious double coat is prone to shedding and requires consistent grooming. Plus, while they enjoy walks and need exercise, they are sometimes considered to be lazy, just wishing to lounge around whenever they can.
