German Shepherd Puppy Has Secret 'Shape Shifting' Talent Thanks To His Adorable Ears

Pets are just so darn cute. There's no denying it. Usually, they don't even need to do anything special to be adorable. Yet sometimes, pet owners can't resist helping them out a little bit, like in this TikTok video where a German shepherd's human can't help but play with the precious puppy's floppy ears. With just a flip of the ears, the shape-shifting pup goes from bear to bunny in an instant!

In the video, the puppy named Larsas can be seen obediently sitting at his owner's feet as she playfully folds and unfolds the floppy appendages, changing the German shepherd from Yoda to a seal with the flip of fur before giggling. "This is how dogs create an identity crisis," one viewer joked in the comments section, as another added, "I love how little fella is just staring lovingly into your eyes during all of this." Maybe the pup is patiently waiting for each new look to be given a treat!

What makes German shepherds good pets

German shepherds are one of the most popular dogs out there, standing out for their striking appearance and being one of the most obedient breeds. They are considered smart, loyal, and highly trainable, both as pets and as working dogs (with the breed often being associated with the military and cute puppies recruited into the K9 police force).

They can make great pets with proper socialization and training, often being very protective of and bonded with their family while also being a fun, sometimes mischievous companion. Because of their protective and obedient nature, though, they can often be aloof or cautious around strangers, and need plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation to help stave off behavioral issues.

Their distinct looks make them a powerful standout breed, with an elongated and muscular body, often pointed ears, and a highly recognizable black-and-tan double coat. Agile and alert, these dogs make great guardians and attentive family dogs that enjoy being part of the family and included in activities. But as with any breed, each individual dog is different, with some being calmer and more watchful while others are highly energetic and protective. To see a German shepherd's dual personality in action, just take a look at this family dog with two completely different barks!
