Dachshund Puppy Determined To Join Mom In The Shower Is Impossible To Resist

Ah, the joys of pet parenthood, where you get to experience the cuteness, the cuddles, and...never again being left alone in the bathroom. Both dogs and cats are known to infringe on personal space whenever you decide it's time to excuse yourself. Just take this cavapoo who chewed through a bathroom door to get to mom. Imagine trying to shower while a mini long-haired dachshund puppy begs to join you. Well, this TikTok video leaves little to the imagination as to what a desperate doggy might do to jump on in with you!

Titled "POV: trying to shower but you just got a puppy," the video shows the doxie named Bear yipping and throwing himself up against the glass shower door, hoping to get inside. "No time alone 😂💚," noted one watcher, as another added, "It's great training for baths later on tbh hahahahha." Meanwhile, others assumed the dog thinks his owner is drowning, "He's trying to save you! 😂"

In an update, the creator also showed off a photo of the two together in the shower, with the comment "I gave in." Somewhat surprisingly, no one asked why the content creator decided to presumably bring their phone into the shower in the first place!

Why do dogs follow you around?

Say goodbye to peace and quiet and alone time when you get a puppy! On the flipside, you will surely say hello to nonstop love and entertainment, especially since your new pup will most likely want to be by your side at all times.

Dogs are naturally social animals, moving in packs in the wild. They do this for both companionship and to either seek or offer protection. When you bring a puppy into your life, they will most likely see you as one of the pack and want to follow you around everywhere, often looking for attention or wanting something from you. If it's for one of these two reasons, they are most likely hoping for a pat, a treat, or to go out for a walk.

Beyond that, it could just simply be that they love you, or they feel the need to protect you. Sometimes, especially more when they get older, it's due to stress or anxiety. But usually, it's just a natural instinct that means they have bonded with you and enjoy being by your side.
