Shih Tzu Cheering On Her Dad While He Runs A Marathon Is Everything And More

Lots of people run marathons, but not everyone gets to say they had a totally divalicious doggy standing on the sidelines cheering them on. This one pet parent gets that claim to fame, though, as his super-stylist shih tzu pup was seen rooting for him from the sidewalk, as captured in this playful TikTok clip.

"Diva spotting at the Miami marathon 💅🏼," notes the caption, as the camera zooms in on a dedicated woman and her dog holding a sign that says, "My dad go fast!" The best part? Both on the cardboard poster and in real life, the all-white prima-donna pup is nonchalantly wearing hot pink heart-shaped sunglasses!

"Love the sunglasses on the Princess!!!" one commenter exclaimed, as another referred to the fluffy pup as the "Best Cheerleader!" We don't know about you, but we'd certainly look forward to seeing that sweet cutie-pie face waiting for us just around the corner!

Shih tzu personality traits

Shih tzu dogs are super cute, with their distinct big dark eyes, fluffy, round faces, and furry, floppy ears. In the dog-show circuit, they are known for their long, floor-sweeping coat, while many non-competitive pets are seen with cutesy shih tzu haircuts and styles.

When it comes to personality, shih tzus are considered to be lively companion animals, often exhibiting friendly but slightly stubborn charm. Originally bred as royal lapdogs, they are heralded for their devotion to their owners and usually seem to have oversized personalities despite being considered a small, adorable toy breed. Preferring a laid-back lifestyle, these dogs are often happy to stay inside and lounge around, sometimes exhibiting signs of separation anxiety when left alone, and definitely needing a lot of grooming.

This typically perky, happy pup could make a good pet for anyone, from city-based apartment dwellers to families with children. Of course, if you need help deciding, here's how to find the right dog for you.
