"Just a guy who loves the beach," the caption reads, as the clip shows the different stages of the dog's beach day adventures. Before the beach, the dog patiently waits to go while wearing his favorite bucket hat. On the way to the beach, the golden is so excited to be going on a good car ride that he sticks his head out of the window. At the beach, he's all smiles. But after the beach? His sleepy eyes and messy beach hair say it all about the day that was had.
"He gave his all to beach day," noted one comment, as another added, "after beach face is so real." Time to nap well, little friend!
Dog safety tips for the beach
Lots of dogs love the beach. Why wouldn't they? There's water, fun sand to play in, and usually miles of space to run around. However, taking your dog to the beach requires some extra effort to ensure a safe day. Here are some crucial tips for taking your dog to the beach.
First, make sure the beach you're heading to allows dogs that day, as many have restrictions. Beyond that, always bring fresh water, provide access to shade, and check that the sand isn't too hot for your dog's bare paws. Dogs should not drink from the body of water, as sea salt can cause dehydration and/or the water may have hidden toxins that could make your pet sick.
Other tips to follow include keeping your dog on a leash and heavily supervising any water play or swimming. Additionally, be courteous and attentive when it comes to other beachgoers, dogs, and wildlife. And, never leave your pet alone in the car while you're out on the beach, as temperatures inside can quickly reach dangerous levels. When all these rules are followed, expect you and your four-legged friend to have a fun day out enjoying the great outdoors!
