Set to silly music, the clip of the sweet senior pup named Spicy lifting her off-kilter head up is captioned, "When your dog wakes up with the half smoosh face & her tongue hanging out. You know it was a good nap." The cute, quick clip had viewers rushing to the comments to say things like "I call it Kermit face!" and "We call that the 'derp' face with our dog 😂 ." Meanwhile, others posted pics of their own dogs looking disheveled after taking a nap, with one person just commenting, "Adorable! I can relate." So can we!

About the Bichon Frise as a breed

Bichon Frise are thought to look like clouds with their fluffy, pure-white fur that makes them appear puffed up when well-groomed. Small but sturdy, the breed is known to be cheerful and affectionate, often sought after because its dense, curly coat is hypoallergenic and low-shedding.

The breed's historic background had them mainly raised as royal European lapdogs, but after the French Revolution left many homeless, they became known for being highly trainable, attention-grabbing circus dogs and street performers that did tricks. These days, they make great family pets while also being highly regarded show dogs that have won "Best in Show" at The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

When it comes to grooming, haircuts for the Bichon Frise are often what make the breed stand out in a crowd, with much emphasis put on a Bichon Frise's face and ears to give them that signature powder-puff look they are known for. However, even the best haircut doesn't stop them from having a good post-nap bedhead!
